ISLAMABAD: Like other parts of the world, International Tuberculosis ‘TB’ Day would also be observed in Pakistan on March 24.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan presently ranks seventh among the 22 high burden countries that carry the most number of TB infected patients.
According to a press release, The Asia Foundation (TAF) is a partner organization of the National TB Control Programme Government of Pakistan and conducting different activities to assist the government to aware the public for prevention and cure of the disease.
To celebrate and highlight the activities regarding TB, a seminar has been planned with collaboration of Health Department, different NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, and other government departments, at Rawalpindi Press Club at 11 am on March 24.
District Nazim Rawalpindi, Javed Ikhlas will be the chief guest. |
